Coursework for GCSE - Using the NSO

The national Schools Observatory website has changed in many different and really positive ways, however the instructions below are For anyone who has done/is using the NSO robotic telescope for coursework, here is the requested guide:
To download images from the National Schools Observatory, follow this guide; If any computer guru out there can see a simpler way to do this, or a better way to explain, then do post please...

Downloading LT Image is the tricky part of this process, but persevere and if you have any problems then email me on my college email h.forbes@gllm.ac.uk and/or we can sort it on Thursday.

(1) Go to 'Help' (top of your page on the right)

(2) Scroll down to LTImage software and download the zip file, if you are not sure how to do this then read on.

(3) Click on the LTImage  zip file

(4) Click on save

(5) Depending which version of windows or what kind of computer/laptop you have, you now need to unzip this either by

(a) going to 'file' and clicking on 'extract' or you might have to right click and then click on 'extract'.
(b) You may be asked to 'unzip' instead of 'extract' again depending on which version of windows etc that you have.
There should appear eventually an little icon with a picture of the moon and a star on it. Double click on this and it should expand to fill your page. Keep this open and open a new tab and...

(6) ...go back to the page where your images are 'ready to download' and right click on the 'dowload image data file' and click either 'save target as' or 'save link as'.

(7) This will appear as a file which you are asked to 'save'. Click 'save'

(a) make sure you remember which folder it is saved into, or choose desktop (then it is easy to find. You can always save it to a different place later
(b) Also it is best to rename it, as most images from the NSO are named a series of numbers which are hard to remember)

(8) Then go back to where the LTImage and at the top left of the page click 'file'.

(9) Choose your file and double click on your saved image and it should open as an image in the large box.
