Choosing a first telescope

Skywatcher Mercury 70mm TelescopeThese are the telescope and/or binocular pair that I would personally recommend from www.telescopehouse.com

Revelation 15x70 Binoculars Special OfferI would strongly advise buying binoculars first as they are a great resource, easy use and become familiar with the night sky with, and a tripod still not necessary - though the more powerful the binocular the more difficult it is to hold it steady, but that is true for all binoculars.

For a first telescope I would recommend the one shown here. A nice scope for all stargazers whether a beginner or a seasoned observer. Together, these are a winning combination and even when and if you decide to buy larger and more expensive telescopes I guarantee you will always have these not far from you, and will use these more that any other scope you will use. Unbeatable!
